Training session editor

Purpose

Prepare one hockey training session with a clear structure and realistic timing. Choose what your team will practise, then divide the time into warm-up, main section and finishing.

Example training session

For a 60-minute session, allow 10 minutes to warm up, two 20-minute exercise blocks and 10 minutes to finish. Choose exercises supporting the same goal, such as finding space and staying available for a pass. For each block, record equipment, pitch layout and coaching instructions so all staff follow the same plan.

Start in the exercise library, include the session in a multi-week training plan and read how to take training onto the pitch.
