Preparing a match in the coach PWA

An upcoming match opens in a lightweight preparation workspace. Live match buttons are not shown here, so you can finish preparation calmly before the match starts.

Steps

Preparation uses the same six steps on desktop and phone:

  1. Attendance — choose available players, stand-ins and maximum playing time.
  2. Basics — check formation, substitution strategy, substitution moments and match duration.
  3. Lineup — choose the starting lineup and who starts on the bench.
  4. Schedule — create and review the substitution plan.
  5. Playing time — check each player’s planned minutes, positions and bench time.
  6. Analysis — view the preparation summary.

Steps become available when their required preparation is complete. Live coaching has its own screen with clock, score and events. Read Match planning for Advanced, the provisional Metro schedule and calculation progress.

Saving attendance

Open an upcoming match through Prepare. All team players initially appear in the attendance list. Tap the attendance button to switch between Present and Absent, then choose Save attendance.

The percentage before the attendance button sets maximum playing time for this match: 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%. 50% means half the match duration; 100% means fully available. Save this choice with attendance. The outdoor planner respects this limit and retains your current starting lineup. If available playing time or the lineup does not fit, a message appears. Indoor planning does not support these limits yet. Marking a player absent does not clear the limit.

Absent players are not placed in the starting lineup or on the bench. An existing lineup is retained for players who remain present.

The dark match view with clock, score and events belongs to live coaching and does not appear during preparation.

Changing attendance, possible positions, starting lineup or basic settings before the match removes an existing substitution schedule. A message explains this, and you then create a new schedule. Saving again without changes does not remove the schedule.
